Ingredients

Bengal gram(Parippu) 1 cup
Onion chopped 1 big
Green chilly chopped 4
Ginger chopped 1 tsp
Chilly powder 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves 2 strips
Salt as per taste
Oil for deep-frying


Directions

Soak the gram in water for at least 2 hrs.Grind it to make a thick paste.Donot add more water when grinding. Now add onion, curry leaves, green chilly, ginger, chilly powder and salt to this paste and mix well. Wet your hands and make balls of the paste. Fry both sides in oil till golden brown.

Tips of the day
Add little milk to onions while frying will help retain a rich color and prevent them from burning.
