Mushroom-Potato Curry

Very tasty and easy mushroom curry.

Ingredients

Button Mushroom--12(cut into 4-6 slices each)
Medium Potato--1(cut into cubes)
Onion--1(chopped)
Green Chilly--2(cut legthwise)
Ginger-Garlic Paste--1 Tbspn
Coriander powder--2 & half tspn.
Chilly powder--1/2 tspn
Trmeric powder--1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Coconut Milk--50 ml


Directions

Heat oil in a pan,add ginger-garlic paste,when the aroma emits, add chopped onion,green chilly and saute well. When it turns golden brown add turmeric powder, chilly powder,coriander powder and stir well.Then add potatoes,salt and 1 cup water. when the potatoes are half done add the mushroom, cover and cook.When its done add coconut milk in to this and adjust the taste.

In a seperate pan heat some oil and splutter mustard seeds, red chilly and curry leaf and mix with the above.

Goes well with appam, chapathi and bread.

I tried this recipe and came out well.

Tips of the day
Leftover chappathies can be cut into small diamond shaped pieces with a pair of kitchen scissors and deep fried till golden brown. Store in air-tight containers.
