Ingredients

Chicken 1kg
Onion 3
Tomato 2
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Garlic paste 1 tsp
1st coconut milk 1/2 cup
2nd coconut milk 1 cup
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Aniseed 1/4 tsp
Cardomom 2
Cloves 4
Curry leaves a few
Salt as required
Oil as needed


Directions

Clean and cut chicken into medium sized pieces.Gring tomotoes without adding water and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and fry well. When the color changes, add ginger and garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes away. Add coriander, chilli, turmeric, garam masala powder, cardomom, cloves and aniseed (perumjeerakam). Then add tomoto paste and curry leaves. Now add the chicken pieces. Mix well and fry for a while and add 2nd coconut milk. Add water as required and salt to taste. When chicken is fully cooked, add thick coconut milk and allow it to simmer for few minutes.
