Ingredients

Pumbkin 1 cup
Toor dal 1 cup
Red chilly powder 1 tsp
Tamarind one lemon size
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Red onion chopped 1 tbsp
Whole red chilly 2
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tablespoon
Curry leaves a few
Salt as needed


Directions

Cook toor dal seperatly. Cook the pumpkin with the chilli powder and turmeric powder, tamarind juice and salt. When it is cooked well mash pumpkin and add toor dal to it and cook for a 5 minutes.

Heat oil in a frying pan and pop mustard seeds, urad dal, red onion, curry leaves and red chilies and add to the above mixture.

Tips of the day
Removed side crusts of bread can be dried in oven till crisp, cooled and ground to use as bread bread crumbs.
