Ingredients

Small fish 1/2 kg
Onions 2
Coconut grated 1 cup
Curry leaves a few
Ginger chopped 1 tsp
Green chilies 5
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder a pinch
Coriander powder a pinch
Fish tamarind (kodam puli) 3
Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
Sal to taste


Directions

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When it splutter add onion, ginger, garlic and fry for a while. Add turmeric powder and green chillies and stir well. Now add coconut and mix well. Add salt and all other spices. Add fish tamarind. Now add cleaned fish and mix well. Add few curry leaves. Cover it and cook until done with most of the water evaporated.
