Ingredients

Chicken 1 kg
Red chilli powder 2 tsp
Onion 1
Tomatoes 2
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Clove 3
Cinnamon stick 1
Cardamom 3
Tamarind juice 4 tsp
Pepper powder 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Curry leaves a few
Oil as required


Directions

Wash the chicken pieces and dry them. Cut it in to small pieces. Marinate the pieces with ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Allow it to stand for 2 hours. Meanwhile make powder of clove,cinnamon and cardamom.

Heat oil in a pan and fry chicken pieces till turns brown in color. Remove it from oil. Add curry leaves in to the remaining hot oil and then add onions and fry till golden brown. Then add chopped tomatoes,coriander powder, clove cinnamon cardamom powder and tamarind juice. Add salt and fry well. Then add fried chicken and mix well. Add 1 cup water and cook till its gravy become thick. Then add pepper powder and mix well.

Tips of the day
To make dosas more crisp, add a little fenugreek seeds to the urad dal while soaking.
