Ingredients

Basmati Rice 1 cup
Oil 3 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Whole red chilli 4
Urad dal 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves 1 strip
Chana dal 1/4 tsp
Cashewnuts 2-3
Peanuts 1 tsp
Salt to taste


Directions

Cook rice and keep it aside. Take oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, red chilli, urad dal, channa dal, cashew nuts, peanuts and curry leaves. Fry till it's color turns to brown. Then add coconut and fry for a while. Then add rice and mix well. Add salt as per taste. Serve hot.

Tips of the day
If you have forgotten to soak chana overnight, just put the chana in a boiling water for an hour. They are ready for cooking.
