Rava Balls

Ingredients

Rava 2 cups
Coconut grated 1 cup
Jaggery 250 gm
Cardmom Powder 1/2 tsp
Raisins 1/4 cup
Cashew pieces 1/4 cup
Ghee 50 gms
Water 2 cups


Directions

Fry rava in a pan on a slow fire till it becomes brown in color.

Boil jaggery and two cups water till thick. Then add coconut and cook for few minutes. Add ghee and stir well. Add cashewnuts, raisins and cardamom powder. Then add the fried rava and stir continuously. When all water evaporates and the mixture becomes dry, remove from fire. When cool enough to handle, roll into even sized balls.

Tips of the day
Lemon juice when added to fruit like apples, bananas after cutting, and tossed lightly will prevent them from turning blackish immediately.
