Coconut Fish Curry
Ingredients
Fish 1/2 kg
Small onions 6
Coconut 1 cup
Green chillies 3
Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek powder 1/4 tsp
Fish tamarind (Kodam puli) 3
Oil 3 tbsp
Curry leaves a few
Salt as per taste
Directions
Heat oil in a pan. Fry small onions. When it becomes light brown, add coconut and fry till brown. Then add green chillies, ginger and garlic and fry for a minute. Then grind this and make a paste. Heat a vessel and add the above grinded masala and chilli powder, pepper powder, coriander powder, fenugreek powder, fish tamarind and salt. Add cleaned fish when it is boiled. Cook till its gravy become thick.
