Yam Fritters

Ingredients

Yam - 1/2kg
Salt as required
Pepper to taste
Oil – for deep frying


Directions

Peel and chop the yam into small, but 1/2 inch thick Pieces.

Boil the pieces in salted and pepper water till it is almost cooked but it shouldnot turn mushy. Drain and keep aside.

In a thick bottomed vessel, heat the oil. When it is hot add the cooked yam slices and fry till both sides become brownish in colour. Remove and immediately pour some more freshly crushed pepper and serve hot.
