Tea Cake
Ingredients
Maida/All purpose flour 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Egg 1
Butter 1 cup
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Directions
Seive maida and baking powder.In a medium bowl, beat egg well and add butter to it, beat again. Add sugar to this and mix well. Slowly add the flour and mix well. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake at 300? for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool it and then turn out onto a serving plate.
