Aval Payasam

Ingredients

Aval (Poha) 1/2 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Milk 2 cups
Cashew nuts 10
Rasins 10
Cardamom 6
Ghee 2 tbs


Directions

Heat ghee in a pan add Aval and fry it. Then add 1 cup milk, sugar and cook for 5 minutes. Once the aval is well cooked add another cup of milk and boil it. In a Pan heat the ghee and fry the cashews, raisins and cardamom and add it to the payasam. Serve hot.

Tips of the day
Leftover chappathies can be cut into small diamond shaped pieces with a pair of kitchen scissors and deep fried till golden brown. Store in air-tight containers.
