Semiya Payasam

Ingredients

Semiya 1/2 cup
Milk 1 litre
Sugar 1/2 cup
Raisins 8
Cashew nuts 8
Cardamom 8
Ghee 2 tsp


Directions

Fry the Semiya in ghee until golden brown and keep it aside. Heat milk in a vessel. When the milk boils and begins to rise, lower the heat and add (vermicelli) fried Semiya and stir well. Continue heating the milk at low heat until the volume of milk reduces considerably. Add sugar and mix well. Remove from the stove.

In a Pan heat the ghee and fry the cashews,raisins and cardamom and add it to the payasam. Serve hot.

Tips of the day
To remove smell from fish, rub it with salt and vinegar. Leave it for an hour and wash it thoroughly.
