Ingredients

Urad dal flour rosted 1 cup
Rice flour 3 cups
Oil for deep-frying
Sesame seeds 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
A pinch of asafetida
Butter 3tsp
Salt to taste


Directions

Mix the powdered rice, urad powder, sesame seeds, cumin seeds, asafetida powder, butter and salt together, without adding water. Add luke warm water to the this mixture and knead to a soft dough. Now take this dough and put this in to "Sevanazhi" and with star blade and twist it into circular shapes of the murukku. Heat oil in a pan. Drop this murukku gently into the hot oil and fry till golden brown.

I tried this recipe...Very simple to prepare and tasty too!!!

Tips of the day
If you have forgotten to soak chana overnight, just put the chana in a boiling water for an hour. They are ready for cooking.
