Remove the outer skin of the jack fruit seeds and scrape off the brown inner skin. Rinse, cut them lengthwise and pressure cook with dal, turmeric powder, water and salt.
Meanwhile grind coconut, green chillies, red chilly powder and ginger to nice paste.
In a vessel take the cooked dal jack fruit curry and add irumban puli cut in lengthwise. When its cooked well , add ground coconut and mix well. Let it come to a slow boil. Switch of the heat and keep it aside.
Heat oil in another pan. Allow mustard seeds to splutter. Add red chillies, red onion, whole red chilly and curry leaves and fry until they are brown. Pour this seasoning over the curry.
Serve with rice.
