Tomato Dosa

Dosa batter - 1 cup
Ripe Tomatoes - 2 medium
Grated fresh coconut (optional) - 1/4 cup
Dried Red Chillies long (optional) - 4 nos
Salt to taste


Grind coconut, red chillies and tomatoes to fine paste. Then add this to dosa batter. Add enough salt and mix well. The batter should be little thin.

Heat a tawa, apply oil. Pour a laddle full of dosa batter, spread the batter with the bottom of the ladle evenly making circles to form a dosa and drizzle with some oil along the edges. When one side is cooked to a golden colour, flip over and cook the other side.

Serve hot with Coconut Chutney.

Tips of the day
While storing the excess dough in the refrigerator coat it with a light layer of ghee or oil. This shall prevent the dough from getting dry.
