Coconut Rava Ladoo

Ingredients

Rava / Semolina - 1 cup
Sugar - 4 tbsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Milk - 1 or 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Raisins - a handful
Grated coconut - 1 cup


Directions

Take ghee in a deep vessel and heat. Add coconut and fry for 2 minutes. Then add rava and roast it till its well roasted and aroma starts coming out. Do make sure that it does not turn its color. Add raisins and fry for few minutes. Add sugar and mix well. Add cardomom powder. Then slowly add the milk into it. Check if you are able to gather as balls. If needed add 1 more spoon of milk. Remove from fire. Cool it a bit(do not cool completely, laddu should be made when the mixture is still hot)and with the hand make small balls of the mixture.

Tips of the day
To make bittergourd less bitter, soak the sliced bitter gourd pieces in a little buttermilk with a pinch of turmeric powder and salt.
