Idli Pakoda

A delicious snack made out of left over idlies.

Ingredients

Left over idlies - 4
Gram flour - 1 1/2 cup
Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Asafoetida powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt as required
Coriander leaves chopped a few
Oil for frying


Directions

In a bowl mix together gram flour, chilli powder, asafoetida, corander leaves and salt. Add water to make thick batter.

Cut each idlies into four or any shapes.

Heat oil and dip each idli pieces into the batter and fry them till they are golden brown. Then drain on paper napkin. Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato sauce.

Tips of the day
Excess salt in any dish can be brought down by adding diced potatoes, tomatoes or a teaspoon of sugar.
