1)Basmati rice or boiled rice - 1 cup
(soaked for overnight)
2)Coconut milk- 11/2 cup
3)Instant yeast-3-4 pinch
4)Salt - 1 pinch
5)Sugar - 1 tsp


1)Grind Rice .
2)Add coconut milk
3)Dilute 1 tsp sugar and instant yeast together.
4)Pour diluted solution into Grinded rice,Stir well.
2)Keep aside in a warm place for fermenting.(overnight or min 5-6 hrs)

Tip::Add a pinch of salt and stir softly,when its ready to make appam..

Tips of the day
Removed side crusts of bread can be dried in oven till crisp, cooled and ground to use as bread bread crumbs.
