Spicy Capsicum

This is a very easy and delicious way to cook capsicum. Its rich and spicy taste which will be everyone’s favorite!

Ingredients

Capsicum-3 large
Onions -1
Tomato-1 large
Asafoetida powder (hing) -2 pinches
Turmeric -1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds -1/2 tsp
Urad dal -1/2 tsp
Chilli Pwd- 1 tbs
Garam masala -1/2 tbs
Tomato Ketchup (hot n spicy)- 2 tbs
Salt – to taste
Oil


Directions

1. Cut the Capsicum (remove seeds) and onion into long thin slices
2. Chop the tomatoes finely.
3. Heat little cooking oil and slightly fry (brown) the capsicum and keep aside
4. Heat the remaining oil and add the mustard seeds, urad dal, Cumin seeds, Asafoetida powder (hing) and Turmeric.
5. Once the mustard seed starts to sputter, add onions and let them become soft.
6. Add the tomatoes
7. Add Chilli powder, garam masala, Ketchup and salt.
8. Cook for 5-7 mins till all spices gets incorporated
9. Add the fried capsicum and little water, and let it cook.
10. Serve with hot roti or naan.
