Telugu Pogali

Ingredients

2 cups rice
1 liter milk
8-10 tsp jaggery
1 tbs chana dal
1 tsp ghee
Cardamom powder
A few Chews and Raisins


Directions

Fry the chews and raisins in ghee, keep a side. In a vassal put milk, washed rice and chana dal. Allow to cook till milk becomes thick and rice and dal is cooked. Then add jaggery again to cook for 5-7 mins. Add fry chews, raisins and cardamom powder. Remove from the gas and let the pogali cool.

Tips of the day
Lemon juice when added to fruit like apples, bananas after cutting, and tossed lightly will prevent them from turning blackish immediately.
