Lemon Rice

Ingredients

Basmati Rice 2 cups
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Chana dal 2 tbs
Fried peanuts 3 tsp
Curry leaves a few
Green chillies 6
Cashew nuts 6
Turmeric powder 2 tsp
Whole red chilly 4
Lemon 1
Salt to taste
Oil 3 tbs


Directions

Cook rice and keep it aside. Heat oil in a thick bottomed vessel. Then add mustard seeds. when it pops add dry red chilly, greenchillies, chana dal, fried peanuts, cashews and curry leaves one by one. Atlast add turmeric powder and lemon juice and fry for while. Add boiled rice and mix well. Add salt and mix together nicely.
