Green Peas Curry

Ingredients

Green peas 1/2 cup
Ginger chopped 1/2 inch piece
Garlic chopped 1
Onion 1
Green chillies 2
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder 1/4 tsp
Thick coconut milk 1 cup
Water 1 1/2 cups
Coconut oil 1 tbsp
Cardamom powder a pinch
Cloves powder a pinch
Curry leaves a few
Salt as required


Directions

Soak peas overnight.Cut onions legthwise.

In a pressure cooker, cook peas, ginger, garlic, onion, chillies, coriander powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, water and salt and allow it to cool for a while. Open the cooker and place it on fire. Add coconut milk, cardamom powder and cloves powder. Add water, if needed. Allow it to boil. Add curry leaves and coconut oil and mix well.

Serve hot with appam, dosa, chappathi and bread.
