Potato Halwa

Ingredients

Potatoes 1/2 Kg
Sugar 200 gm or to taste
Ghee or clarified butter 200 gm
Ground cardamoms 1/2 tsp
Chopped nuts 2 tbs


Directions

1. Boil and peel the potatoes and smash them.
2. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed or non-stick pan.
3. Fry mashed potatoes, stirring frequently, until ghee separates.
3. Add sugar and cook, stirring all the time, until a little ghee separates again.
4. Turn off heat and add cardamom powder and 2/3rd of the nuts.
5. Place in a serving bowl and garnish with remaining nuts.
6. Serve hot.
